Documentation teardown: a workshop for spotting what you've stopped seeing
The closer you are to a docs page, the less you can see it. You wrote the warning, you named the section, you know what it means — so when a user gets lost, you can't reproduce their confusion and the page never gets fixed. This is the curse of knowledge, and you can't review your way out of it: the people who wrote the docs are the same ones reviewing them.
Marcel Rebro is a Senior Technical Writer at Apify, where he owns the documentation for the AI and integrations teams. He works with engineers to turn complex platform features into clear docs that help developers integrate with and build on Apify. Marcel built the teardown format in this workshop to help the docs team find problems they'd stopped noticing in their own pages.
