Metrics in Content Design. Numbers are probably the most important words

Metrics in Content Design. Numbers are probably the most important words

Sergio Valero Notari

Metrics are a core part of how Content Designers make smarter decisions, not just tools for analysts. In this talk, we'll explore how to define, gather, interpret and own your own metrics, even without complete access to data tools. We'll also cover counter metrics, common testing pitfalls, and how to work with analysts to get the full story. You’ll also learn how to design your metrics for each and every new project. Because great content isn't just about words. It's about results.

Accessible web content: things you might not have thought about

Accessible web content: things you might not have thought about

Wojtek Kutyła

Contrary to popular belief, web accessibility is not something reserved for web developers or UX folks. It's paramount to write good, accessible content, from tiny messages to large, elaborate pieces of copy. To have a fulfilling and pleasant dialogue with our users, regardless of who or where they are. What does this even mean? How can we do it? And what are some of the things related to this subject that you might not have thought about before? Let's focus on creating accessible, fulfilling experiences in the context of how we write for the web

Feedback is everything

Feedback is everything

Aleksandra Wieczorek-Konieczko

Let's talk about how we talk about each other's work. In the content world, feedback is currency. In the workplace, it's the force that fuels careers, for better or worse. For content professionals, it's everything. In my talk, I'll skip the usual technical review guidelines to explore the subtle ways feedback can shape human brains and reinforce the unspoken workplace dynamics. I'll share my personal feedback manifesto, grounded in neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, and some hard-won experience, to start the conversation about what the 'F' word really means. Together, we'll look at how to support clarity without triggering defensiveness, build others up without posturing, and create trust in place of fear.
